Educator · Speaker · Coach · Visionary
Who am I? Honestly, at times I'm not sure, and the answer constantly changes depending on my mood and audience. They are all distinctive versions of me. My acceptance of my crazy has allowed me to be "secure in my insecurities".
I am an oxymoron: a constant contradiction.
Over time, after major and minor changes, mistakes, failures, and pitfalls in my professional and personal life, I have reached a point where "I am okay with me."
So, between the time that I am writing or watching ratchet TV, coaching or reading tawdry erotic romance novels, sleeping or going down a rabbit hole of ideas and creativity, or simply creating educational joy and opportunities for students, I love to inspire the world to live a life that they love. To stop surviving and live abundantly because isn't that what life is for.
Learn MoreRenea L. Moss is a woman of many talents. Affectionately known as "Mama Moss", she is an award-winning and internationally recognized educator, author, inspirational speaker, coach, trainer, and performer with a heart the size of the moon and a mind as sharp as a tack.
Renea's greatest achievement outside of giving birth to her son is the creation of Forge Independent Schools, a private school district that provides a space for students to learn creatively and pursue their passion. As the founder, Renea thrives on changing the face of education, creating joy in learning, and enhancing lives.
She is a sought-after teacher and trainer in Education and Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity. She created her own curriculum and pedagogy, Teaching through Technology, Arts and Gaming (TTTAGS). Additionally, she has led varied pieces of training and workshops for schools, districts, and national conferences throughout the world while being awarded the CW Network's Super Teacher of the Week.
While she has been featured on BET's J Lyric Café and has toured the United States and Canada, another treasured triumph has been transforming a nearly dismantled Speech and Debate club into the 2019 National Speech and Debate Association's School for Excellence in Speech. This not only made her club one of the top 20 in the nation but instilled a sense of pride and accomplishment in all of her students. For her actions, Renea was awarded the Debate Coach of the Year for Broward County.
Additionally, Renea traveled to Uganda to expand their Speech and Debate program through the National Debate Council. For her actions, Renea was awarded the Debate Coach of the Year for Broward County, the Frank Sferra Director's Commendation Award from the NSDA, and the Jenny Cook Mentorship Award.
When she is not honing her students' skills at the podium, Renea's passion is poetry. She is the author of four poetry collections, the first of which was released in 1999. Mumblings of a Maniac is her latest collection.
Renea's diverse background gives her a bag full of mastered tricks. She combines her arts and education background to build innovative pedagogies and programs in schools and businesses worldwide while inspiring audiences to be great.
Renea's content thrives on the premise of a mother's love. She creates, speaks, and inspires with the same intent as one who wants to give birth to greatness.
Whether giving keynote speeches, penning literature and curriculum, training, and/or coaching, regardless of the subject matter, Renea uses authentic approaches to actively and powerfully engage a vast array of audiences.
Award-winning, gifted, and natural talent, Renea will be around for a long time to come.
